The Land Crabs Migrated and So Did We

That time of year again. While what seemed like an endless stream of beautiful Florida crabs crossed A1A making their way west to east, we hopped a plane and came back to the city. The crabs made some pit stops in garages, under cars, and one came inside (we preferred the crab to the snake that had come in a few days earlier...), but they did get where they were going eventually.
Back to making lunches on the go instead of our relaxing summertime ones has been difficult and rushed. One of our last great vacation snacks was this nut and fruit salad. We chopped kiwi, banana, apples, peaches, and strawberries and topped them with salted peanuts and black sesame seeds. The result was delicious; pairing nuts with fruit tends to stabilize blood sugar and the black sesame seeds are very high in absorbable calcium and iron. So, we enjoyed our salad by the beach, but we are glad to be home, well, sort of, I think.
