I Have Created Four Monsters

I've created a monster...OK, four monsters. Little events over the past month:
Susannah picked up a pretty beautiful carrot and said "I will not eat this. It is not from the farmer's market." It was a relatively lovely whole foods carrot...
Perry ate my entire crunchy living sprout salad at Candle Cafe a few weeks ago while all I got was, well not much of anything...
At home, I wanted to make spinach soup but saw Luke piling all of the spinach into a pan for his special olive oil and balsamic spinach dish...
Which brings us to today, the cucumbers we bought at today's community farm market had so much crunchy appeal that I just could not keep the supply; all the kids wanted one to snack on. Having learned my lesson last week, I bought about 16 cucumbers but I think I have only three left for salads for a couple days...
We bought shitake and portabello mushrooms and the monsters made me pick through my steamy stir fry so they could eat all of my mushrooms!
Are we really better off or have the small monsters I created gone too far? What I mean is, what if I want a tomato? And, the poor Dad, well, he sometimes has to order from the diner...
