Crispy Rice Treats

Perry and I had a kick-ass time dancing away at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Pediatric Prom

Notice we didn't say "Rice Krispie" Treats!! We love love love our very own rice crispy treats that don't involve huge food manufacturers, animal products (no cow or fish gelatin), low end margarine or food coloring (those extremely white Jet Puffed Kraft ones have blue coloring to make the white oh so white) .

Simply melt Dandies Original Vanilla Vegan Marshmallows and Soy Free Earth Balance in a pot while stirring.  Add Nature's Path Organic Crispy Rice or Erewhon Gluten Free Crispy Brown Rice, fold together well.  Pour onto a pyrex baking dish greased well with coconut oil and spread out.  Enjoy, they are so delicious warm. (Please note: They are great for a day but they do not stay as soft as Rice Krispie Treats with commercial margarine if saved longer than 24 hours...good luck trying to make them last long enough to test that theory anyway, a hard test to pull off when you have as many fans of this food as we do here.)

Luke and Susannah both have birthdays coming up and will bring these easy treats to school.  I have been addicted to ordering things on Amazon during our last few hospital weeks, so, well, let's just say I have 24 bags of these marshmallows.
