My $1,000 Cup of Tea

So, here I am outside typing all because of my $1,000 cup of tea, ok, not quite a $1,000 but very close.  Truth be told, it was cleansing tea, cran raspberry senna tea to get me back in my groove after some big eating.  And, well, the entire cup of tea spilled on my old computer.  And, well, now I have a new one, and what the heck, when at Best Buy I got a few add-ons, the verizon jetpack so we can all electro-magnetically radiate ourselves wherever we go wherever there is a Verizon hotspot...I have been relying on Whole Foods wifi and my own cable at home, not even wireless because I will not go for a router in my home radiating me around the clock.  Now, with a simple switch I can turn it off and all kids iPads will lose internet immediately, gosh, I love that power.

So, hmm, should I write about the ill effects of extra low frequency electro magnetic radiation or the effects (good and bad) of cleansing tea?

First, about the tea, I firmly believe that certain cleansing herbs, mild ones like the Number 1 of Cleanse Smart (full of antioxidants, with milk thistle to boost liver enzymes)(but not necessarily the number 2 becasue it is very strong and works differently from the number 1 morning formula), dandelion tea (a diuretic),  marshmallow root, seaweed, EC3 live, chlorella, spirulina and the list goes on.  Many cultures have used some version of cleansing for years.  Furthermore, if you really looked into it, cleansing can dispel the problems caused by diabetes much more safely than any diabetes drug.  That is to say, plain and simple, cleansing herbs tend to interfere with the digestion of sugar and white flour, things that raise blood sugar the most. I know, the drug companies hate to hear it but these herbs are a cheaper, more reliable way to manage disease.  Furthermore, they tend to have antioxidants, be disease preventive, heart protective and, well, kind of the opposite of diabetes drugs.

So, anyway, these herbs, especially Cleanse Smart and senna are not for the eating disordered and will not work continuously over time.  They are safe for a week, even a month and they help push things through (some cause unreasonable amounts of stool or even cramping diarrhea) but when used safely they work well after the wrong foods are consumed...if they are taken on a diet of all vegetables and fruit, they will be overkill, cause extreme diarrhea and work against a healthy immune system so save them for a time of need. For me, post Thanksgiving, post Christmas and this week it was post a birthday celebration that involved three bowls of  vegan and mostly sugar free ice cream with melted dark chocolate, all worth it, especially now that we have a healthy 13 year old.

In regular life, every day cinnamon, green tea, cilantro, cacao or extremely dark chocolate (85 per cent), spirulina, chlorella, green vegetable juice, and lots of vegetables can do the daily necessary cleansing.

And, well, since I spilled the tea, I did not have the cleanse, and I don't think I really needed it after all.  The huge vegetable dinner had no trouble passing through, but I will spare you the details.
